Pramono Assures Teaching and Learning Activities Back to Normal Tomorrow

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung confirmed that the School from Home (PJJ) policy for students in Jakarta has ended today. Therefore, school activities will return to normal on Wednesday, (9/9).

"School activity will return to normal tomorrow," said Pramono, Tuesday (9/8).

He also instructed the Head of the Education Agency to immediately issue a Circular regarding the return of teaching and learning activities in schools.

The decision was made, among other things, by considering flight activities which have returned to normal.

"There are various reasons, one of which is because the flight itself, as one of the parameters, is now running normally," he added.

To handle the impact of the Anak Krakatau eruption in Jakarta, the Jakarta Provincial Government is trying to implement Weather Modification Operations (OMC). Five Cessna Caravan sorties were conducted today to seed clouds.

However, this modification operation faced obstacles due to a lack of cloud cover. Pramono hopes there will be potential clouds this afternoon, allowing the OMC to be successful.

"The Cessna Caravan has conducted five cloud seeding sorties. Hopefully, we'll see some drizzle or rain this afternoon or evening," Pramono stated.
